The streaming service Peacock has picked up the Red Queen TV series and we are absolutely losing our minds over the news! Ever since author Victoria Aveyard brought the Red Queen books into our lives we have been imagining Mare Barrow lighting up our screens with purple lightning bolts. And soon we’ll get to see her and all the other Reds and Silvers for real! Red Queen is currently in development at Peacock, the streaming service owned by NBCUniversal, as a one-hour drama series. We’ll keep you posted when a premier date is announced.
Who’s Already Attached to the Series
We’re so excited that Elizabeth Banks, who some of you may remember was previously attached to direct a Red Queen adaptation, is the Executive Producer/Director for the show and will also star in a major supporting role!
Our incredibly talented queen of fantasy Victoria Aveyard co-wrote the pilot episode along with Beth Schwartz, who worked as an executive producer/writer/showrunner for The CW’s Arrow as well as the upcoming Netflix series Sweet Tooth.
